He married Nancy Odam South Molton, 15th May 1784. Nancy was born 1762. Nancy was the daughter of William Odam and Susanna Dunn. Nancy died 1843 South Molton, at 81 years of age.

Josiah Hobbs and Nancy Odam had the following children:

2 i. Sarah² Hobbs. Sarah died 1st June 1790 South Molton.

3 ii. Ann Hobbs.

4 iii. Josiah Hobbs was born South Molton 31st July 1793.
