22. William⁵ Penman (Alexander⁴, William³, Alexander², Alexander¹) was born Kinnaird, Larbert 25th August 1805. William died 16th July 1885 Stenhousemuir, Larbert, at 79 years of age.

He married Anne Christie Larbert, 8th December 1828. Anne was born Larbert c1806. Anne was the daughter of Alexander Christie and Ann Philp. Anne died 21st November 1886 No 5 Kelvinside Ave., Maryhill, Glasgow, at 80 years of age.

William Penman and Anne Christie had the following children:

+ 33 i. Alexander⁶ Penman was born 12th January 1830.

34 ii. Anne Philp Penman was born Kinnaird, Larbert 3rd April 1832. She married John Hardie Carronshore, Bothkennar, 10th June 1864. John was the son of John Hardie and Jane Anderson?.

35 iii. Mary Penman was born Kinnaird, Larbert 16th June 1834.

36 iv. Margaret Janet Penman was born Kinnaird, Larbert 1st March 1837. Margaret died 10th June 1912 Burlingame, Osage, Kansas, at 75 years of age. She married Edward Hotchkiss. Edward was born Bothkennar, Stirlingshire 2nd February 1834. Edward died 15th January 1912 Burlingame, Osage, Kansas, at 77 years of age. (See Edward Hotchkiss for the continuation of this line.)

37 v. Helen Penman was born Kinnaird, Larbert 10th September 1841.

38 vi. William Penman was born 1st November 1842.

+ 39 vii. James Penman was born 20th September 1845.
