1. James Sheppard¹ Roll(Rowle) was born c1824 Plymouth.

He married twice. He married Ann Odam South Molton, 1845. Ann was born South Molton 8th June 1823. Ann was the daughter of John Odam and Sarah Chapple. Ann died 1884 South Molton, at 61 years of age. He married Mary Lock South Molton, 1887. Mary was born Chittlehampton, Devon c1838.

James Sheppard Roll(Rowle) and Ann Odam had the following children:

2 i. Elizabeth² Roll(Rowle) was born South Molton c1846. Elizabeth died 1871 South Molton, at 25 years of age.

3 ii. John Adam Roll(Rowle) was born South Molton C1848.

4 iii. Sarah Odam Roll(Rowle) was born South Molton c1850. She married James Hearnimen South Molton, 1874.

5 iv. Mary Sheppard Roll(Rowle) was born South Molton c1852.

6 v. Charles Sheppard Roll(Rowle) was born South Molton c1854.

+ 7 vi. George Odam Roll(Rowle) was born 1856.

8 vii. Lucy Ann Roll(Rowle) was born South Molton 1860. Lucy died 1881 South Molton, at 21 years of age. She married Robert Holcombe South Molton, 1879. Robert was born Rose Ash, Devon c1858. (See Robert Holcombe for the continuation of this line.)

9 viii. Henry Roll(Rowle) was born South Molton 1863.

10 ix. Herbert Roll(Rowle) was born South Molton c1869.
